At Kids Inc Psychology, we believe in providing clear and transparent information about our services, fees, and funding options so that clients can make informed decisions about their care.

Psychological Services

We provide psychological services for children, adolescents, adults, and families, including:

  • Psychological assessment (cognitive, learning, autism and ADHD)
  • Therapy for anxiety, depression and emotional wellbeing
  • Support for ADHD, autism and other neurodevelopmental differences
  • Parenting support and coaching
  • Trauma-informed therapy
  • Emotional regulation and coping skills
  • Social skills development
  • School consultation and collaboration

If you are unsure which service is appropriate for you or your child, our administration team can provide information about the available services and appointment options.

Therapy Fees

Appointments with a Clinical Psychologist are:

  • Standard consultation: $255.00
  • Medicare rebate(with a valid Mental Health Care Plan): $149.05
  • Out-of-pocket cost: $105.95

Medicare rebates apply to eligible therapy sessions only and do not apply to psychological assessments.

APS Recommended Fee

For transparency, we also provide information about the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Recommended Schedule of Fees.

The APS currently recommends a fee of $330 for a standard 40–60 minute consultation provided by a psychologist.

Our fees are independently determined and may differ from the APS Recommended Schedule of Fees.

Medicare Rebates

Clients with a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), referred by their GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist, may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for psychological therapy.

Please note:

  • The current Medicare rebate for an eligible Clinical Psychologist consultation is $149.05.
  • Payment is made at the time of the appointment, with the Medicare rebate processed afterwards.
  • Medicare rebates are available for eligible therapy sessions only and do not apply to psychological assessments.

If you are unsure whether you or your child may be eligible, please speak with your referring medical practitioner.

Assessment Fees

Assessment fees vary depending on the referral question, assessment type, and the number of required assessment components.

Following the initial assessment interview, your psychologist will recommend the appropriate assessment process for your needs and provide a written quote outlining the expected fees before the assessment proceeds.

NDIS

Kids Inc Psychology provides services to participants who are self-managed or plan-managed under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

  • Fees are charged in accordance with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
  • Travel, report writing and case conferencing may be charged where applicable under current NDIS guidelines.
  • A written Service Agreement will be provided before services commence.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on your level of extras cover, you may be eligible to claim a rebate through your private health insurer.

Please contact your health fund directly to confirm your eligibility and rebate entitlement.

Bulk Billing

Limited bulk billing appointments may be available in exceptional circumstances, subject to clinician availability and eligibility criteria.

If you wish to discuss your circumstances, please contact our administration team.

Cancellation Policy

Appointment times are reserved specifically for each client. Providing adequate notice of cancellation allows us to offer the appointment to another person who may be waiting for care. We ask that you provide at least 48 business hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Where less than 48 business hours' notice is provided, or an appointment is not attended without prior notice, a cancellation fee may apply.

Please note:
• Medicare rebates and private health insurance rebates cannot be claimed for cancellation or non-attendance fees.
• Cancellation fees are the responsibility of the client and are payable prior to booking further appointments.
• NDIS participants will be charged in accordance with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and the terms of their Service Agreement.

We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. Where there are exceptional or unforeseen circumstances, cancellation fees may be reduced or waived at the discretion of your treating psychologist.
